I began sewing at 4 years old. I would go into my mother’s stash and cut off pieces of fabric and turn them into magnificent creations for my Barbie dolls (which I love and collect to this day). Over time the fascination for fabric grew - and with the help of my Mommy Person Lady’s Touch-N-Sew Singer - my prolific sewing career began. I started sewing clothes - and that has been my first, and most powerful, passion. It took me to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and Florence Italy and a degree in Women’s Design. I became a Fashion Designer in Washington after coming home to be with the love of my life (still is!)....”It” lasted for about 5 years. Corporate America is NOT creative! After this...I became a professional baker....and slowly my sewing began again. This time I started sewing clothing and quilting...and new area of exploration for me. I love being creative. I love watching my hands create something outside of me.... that is still a very big part of me that gets to be released into the world. It has made me a better person and led me to meet and become involved with other amazing people in the world.
