WAKING UP THE HOUR GLASS

The clock is ticking

I said to my art quilt group the other day, “I’m afraid I’m going to wake up dead.”  And no matter what I do, the theme of time seems to creep into my work, whether or not I’m conscious of it.

The shrine I built to my parents has clock workings in it -- of course.  St. Hollyhock, my contribution to the OH MY GODDESS! show, also has a clock topping off her pedestal.

I remain fascinated by the notion of time and what we do with it, whether or not it’s possible to make best use of it.
